The Vanilla Plum Edit
Best Treatment for Jowls & Double Chin
If your lower face looks heavier, softer, or less defined, I’d think about firmness, facial tone, fluid retention, posture, and whole-body changes before choosing a device.
Jowls and a double chin are not exactly the same thing, but they often show up together.
For me, the best approach is part tightening, part lifting, and part reducing lower-face heaviness.
My Treatment Ranking
Not a beauty-device answer, but weight shifts, inflammation, posture, and fluid retention can change the lower face.
Supportive for facial habits, sleep creases, and lower-face awareness — but not my first-line treatment.
The Short Answer
For jowls and double chin, I’d start with RF for firmness, add microcurrent for lift, and use facial massage when the lower face looks puffy or heavy. Then I’d look honestly at posture, inflammation, sleep, and body composition because those can change the jawline too.
Which Option Fits You Best?
If your lower face looks loose
Start with RF. This is the category I’d choose first for firmness and the look of laxity around the jawline and under the chin.
If your face looks less lifted
Add microcurrent. I think of it as facial tone and lift support rather than true tightening.
If your jawline looks puffy or heavy
Try facial massage and lymphatic drainage. Sometimes the lower face looks softer because of fluid, tension, inflammation, or poor drainage.
If your under-chin fullness changes with weight or inflammation
This is where I’d zoom out. A device can help skin quality and firmness, but body composition, posture, sleep, and inflammation can all affect how defined the lower face looks.
If you want supportive skin quality work
LED and facial taping can support the routine, but I’d treat them as add-ons rather than the main strategy for jowls or double chin.
