The Vanilla Plum Edit
Best Treatment for 11 Lines
If I were starting over with 11 lines between my eyebrows, this is the order I’d try things — from microcurrent and facial taping to RF and microneedling.
My 11 lines were one of the first beauty concerns that sent me deep into at-home devices.
The biggest lesson: 11 lines usually need both “softening the habit” and supporting the skin.
My Treatment Ranking
Best first step for lifting, softening expression lines, and improving the look of facial tone.
Best for interrupting the frowning habit, especially overnight or while working at home.
Best for tension patterns, puffiness, and helping the face look more relaxed.
Best for collagen support and overall skin firmness, especially when laxity is part of the issue.
Best for texture and collagen remodeling, but not my first pick for the muscle-habit side of 11 lines.
The Short Answer
For me, the best approach is layered: microcurrent for tone, Frownies or facial tape for the expression habit, facial massage for tension, and RF or microneedling when I want broader collagen support.
Which Option Fits You Best?
If you want the most device-focused option
Start with microcurrent. This is where I’d begin if you want an at-home device specifically for facial tone and expression-related aging.
If you frown while sleeping or concentrating
Add Frownies or facial taping. This is less about “treating skin” and more about interrupting the movement pattern that keeps folding the same spot. It allows the collagen to rebuild overnight rather than always being in the same contraction.
If your forehead and brow feel tight
Try facial massage. I think this is especially helpful when 11 lines are connected to tension, stress, jaw clenching, or facial holding patterns.
If your concern is firmness too
Consider RF. I would not choose it only for 11 lines, but it makes more sense if you’re also treating sagging skin, laxity, or loss of firmness.
If texture is part of the problem
Microneedling may be worth considering, especially if you’re also trying to improve skin texture, pores, or old marks. It is not where I’d personally start for 11 lines alone, but it is great if you need even more support after doing the other things. Radio Frequency and microneedling go particularly well together. Currentbody makes patches that I love.
